Kathy has been one of the hygienists on our fantastic team for many years. She looks forward to coming to work each day because she knows she can provide exceptional care in an office that is technologically advanced and has a group of ladies that genuinely care about each other and the patients.
Kathy’s career spans over 35 years and began at St. Petersburg College. Through numerous hours of continuing education and research within her profession, she will provide you with excellent dental care, all with a kind and caring demeanor. She and her husband live in Marietta, have two adult children, and two grandsons.
Allison is a Georgia native, born and raised in the small town of Adairsville. Her interest in dentistry began at a young age. After high school, she attended Savannah Technical College where she received her registered dental hygienist degree and graduated at the top of her class. She was chosen by the dean of her school to receive the Thomas P. Hinman scholarship, an award given to only one or two of the top-performing hygiene students in each graduating class.
Allison continues to grow and learn as a dental hygienist by staying current with the latest information and technology through continuing education. Her main goal is educating patients on the connection between oral health and overall health. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and two dogs. Her passions include her family, animal rescue, hiking, and travel.
Leslie is a registered dental hygienist who serves on our team full-time. She’s originally from South Carolina and graduated with honors from culinary school at Johnson & Wales University then worked as a chef for the Ritz-Carlton hotel company for 15 years. During that time, dentistry piqued her interest and she made a career change!
Leslie graduated with the highest honors from Georgia State University where she initiated a program to get free dental cleanings for teenage children and young adults who have aged out of the foster care system here in Georgia. She’s passionate about education and is currently pursuing obtaining her Bachelor’s degree as well as her certification to become a myofunctional therapist.
In her free time, Leslie enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, Carlos, and their three boys. They love fishing, swimming, and cooking, as well as the beach. They travel to Florida several times a year to visit family and friends. Leslie and her family have lived here in East Cobb for the last seven years with their three cockatiels and two cats.
Amy graduated with honors from the University of Georgia and worked in IT before becoming a stay-at-home mom while her kids were younger. She then went back to school to obtain her registered dental hygienist degree from Georgia Perimeter College (now Georgia State). There, she was named a Thomas P. Hinman scholar, an award given to only the top-performing students in the class. Amy enjoys getting to know her patients. As she’s developing relationships with them she gets to share the latest developments in oral health.
Amy grew up in the East Cobb area and now resides in Woodstock with her husband, two daughters, and labradoodle. She spends much of her free time attending her younger daughter’s basketball games. When she’s not doing that, Amy enjoys gardening, walking, and traveling.
Lead Dental Assistant
Jordan’s interest in dentistry began after observing one of her family members at work in a local dental office. She instantly felt a connection to the patients and had a desire to be a part of a dental practice where she could feel the same excitement for her work every day. Jordan is always smiling and has a passion for helping our patients and growing in her knowledge of dental assisting as evidenced by the extensive continuing education courses she has taken. She has been an amazing chairside assistant to our doctors for several years.
Jordan was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Marietta when she was seven years old. She grew up with six siblings. She graduated from Walton High School, attended Georgia Southern University, and received her certificate in dental assisting from The Dental Staff School in Marietta in 2014. In her free time, Jordan loves to hike, fish, kayak, and do other outdoor activities with her husband, Evan, and their 2-year-old German shepherd, Brady. She also loves spending time with her seven wonderful nieces and nephews.
Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Maricka moved to Kennesaw, GA in 2013. She has worked in the veterinary field for over twelve years and recently transitioned to dentistry. She started in our office as a dental assistant and is currently our clinic coordinator.
Maricka has three siblings that live here in Georgia along with other family members. Additionally, Maricka has three elementary-aged children, two of whom are twins, born on two different days and two different years, 12/31/16 and 1/1/17! In her spare time, Maricka loves to cook and enjoys poolside activities. Maricka also enjoys making frequent trips back to Florida to visit friends and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather.
Kelly will assist you in maximizing your dental insurance benefits and filing insurance claims for you. She has been in the dental field for over fifteen years and enjoys helping our family of patients on a daily basis.
Kelly moved to Georgia in 2012 from northern New York, and resides in Acworth with her husband, Bruce. They have two adult children and six grandchildren. Kelly is an amazing scrapbooker and has done many beautiful projects for her friends and family.
Jamie is our Practice Administrator and wears many hats to keep our practice running smoothly. She grew up in Michigan, enjoying mild summers and loathing the icy winters. Jamie moved to Georgia in 2007 and has decided that she much prefers the weather here.
Jamie is married and has a young son, who is her pride and joy. Jamie brings over 15 years of business operations management and people leadership to her position here at Cheek Dental. Getting to know you personally and treating patients like family is of utmost importance to Jamie!
