Dr. Kristina Chandler always knew she wanted a career in healthcare, but initially imagined herself as a physician. While earning dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Genetics at the University of Georgia, she began volunteering in the dental clinic at Mercy Health Center and shadowing local dental offices. There, she witnessed the profound impact dentistry can have—not only in restoring smiles, but in transforming lives. It was in those moments that she discovered her true calling.
After receiving a degree in genetics and biology, Dr. Chandler went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2011, graduating at the top of her class. Her academic excellence, combined with a deep commitment to patient care, set the tone for the kind of dentistry she would go on to practice.
Since 2011, Dr. Chandler has provided comprehensive family and cosmetic dentistry to the metro Atlanta community, with a focus on prevention, patient education, and long-term oral health. In 2016, she joined Cheek Dental—drawn to the practice’s reputation for excellence and its shared vision of relationship-based care. She credits her partnership with Dr. Cristi Cheek as a pivotal part of her professional growth, blending Dr. Cheek’s legacy of warmth and whole-person care with her own emphasis on innovation and advanced technology.
As a Pankey-trained dentist, Dr. Chandler believes great dentistry starts with listening. She begins every patient relationship with a thoughtful conversation—understanding not only the clinical needs, but the personal goals, health considerations, and lifestyle factors that influence treatment decisions. Her approach balances aesthetics and function, always aiming for outcomes that are as beautiful as they are durable.
Originally from Snellville, Georgia, Dr. Chandler treasures time spent with her husband, Hunter, and their daughter, Emily. Together, they enjoy adventures big and small—whether it’s a day at the park, exploring the zoo or aquarium, or relaxing at the beach. Dr. Chandler also loves discovering new restaurants, traveling, and gathering with extended family and friends.
